Sacred Heavy Solid-Cast Brass Varaha Avatar Mask (Lord Vishnu / Panjurli)

Uncommon monumental 3.75 kg solid-cast brass ritual mask of Lord Varaha (the Boar incarnation of Lord Vishnu) featuring a pierced flame Prabhavali halo, pearl-beaded spinal crest, and curving tusks in antique bronze-patinated finish (Height 8 inches / 20.3 cm, Dia 7 inches / 17.8 cm)
Magnificent and powerful authentic ritual temple mask representing Lord Varaha (the sacred third incarnation of Lord Vishnu, celebrated across Vedic and regional traditions for lifting Mother Earth / Bhudevi from the cosmic waters of deluge). Cast in monumental solid heavy brass weighing a massive 3.750 kg (3,750 grams). Also venerated in coastal Daiva/Bhuta worship traditions as the protective boar deity Panjurli. This extraordinary sculpture exhibits master-level cire-perdue (lost-wax) craftsmanship: a muscular zoomorphic boar snout flanked by curved predatory lower tusks and disk-shaped nostrils; piercing almond-shaped divine eyes encircled by contoured eye-sockets; a prominent central facial spine adorned with double rows of pearl beading (Muktamala) flanking a chiseled ladder ridge; and large upright leaf-shaped ears deeply textured with fine hatching. The entire mask is framed by an openwork radiating pierced flame and lotus-petal halo (Prabhavali / Jwala Mandir) bordered by annular beadwork and undulating scrolls. Historically used in temple sanctum ceremonies, Vaishnavite festival processions, or sacred spirit-invocation shrines to channel cosmic guardianship, divine truth, and spiritual protection against subterranean turmoil and negative forces. Preserved in exceptional museum-grade condition with a rich, antique two-tone bronze and golden-brass finish.
