Century-Old Gadrooned Tribal Wrist Cuffs in Brass & Silver Alloy (Pair)

Authentic century-old hinged tribal wrist cuffs with spiral gadrooned ribs (Dia 3.5 in / 9 cm, Wt 280 g per pair)
Century-old authentic traditional tribal lady's hinged wristlet pair (Bala / Khadu / Mathi), skillfully forged from a delicate, lightweight alloy mix of brass with a subtle proportion of silver. Uniquely crafted with an uncommon hollow lightweight construction for effortless daily wear and expressive movement during seasonal harvest and folk dances. The circular circumference features deep spiral gadrooned ribbing flanked by finely beaded granulated borders, terminating at a sturdy pin-barrel hinge clasp framed by triangular repoussé finials with spherical knops. Historically worn across tribal communities of Odisha and eastern India as personal protective amulets and sacred symbols of marital status and feminine elegance.
