Century-Old Resonating Bell-Bronze Pakhala Dining Bowl (Singing Bati)

Authentic early 20th-century hand-forged high-tin bell bronze (Kansa) fermented rice water dining bowl with sustained acoustic singing resonance and concentric lathe moldings (1 Litre capacity, Weight ~650 grams)
Extraordinary century-old authentic high-tin bell-metal / bronze dining bowl (celebrated in Odisha culinary tradition as Kansa Pakhala Gina / Bati), crafted circa early 20th century by master Odia Kansari coppersmiths. Forged from genuine bell-metal (Kansa - an Ayurvedic alloy of ~78% copper and ~22% tin), this versatile vessel doubles as a profound acoustic singing bowl, emitting a clear, sustained, harmonic overtone bell resonance when struck or rimmed. Specifically sculpted to hold approximately 1 litre of Odisha's cherished national staple, Pakhala Bhat (fermented cooked rice steeped in cooling probiotic rice water / Torani, roasted cumin, and curd), the high-tin bronze alloy naturally preserves the optimal chilled temperature and probiotic alkaline balance of the meal throughout sweltering tropical afternoons. The vessel presents an expansive, plump spherical lower basin tapering smoothly toward an annular collar chiseled with fine concentric lathe-turned rings, terminating in a reinforced, rolled rounded rim lip tailored for comfortably sipping the cooling ambrosial Torani. Weighing approximately 650 grams with balanced hand-forged walls, surviving functional antique singing dining bowls in pristine culinary condition are exceedingly rare and extinct folk treasures. Preserved in museum-grade condition with a smooth, warm silvery-gold bronze sheen and authentic historic handling patina.
